The Ministry of Housing and Settlements (PKP) puts Jakarta's planned 2026 allocation at 10,300 homes, compared with 158 in 2025. Urban areas account for 10,000 homes, with 2,000 each in Central, North, West, South and East Jakarta. The remaining 300 are designated for coastal areas in the Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu).
National target and reported progress
The nationwide goal for the home-renovation program, known as Bedah Rumah, rose from 45,000 homes in 2025 to 400,000 in 2026, according to statements by Sirait reported by the ministry in October 2026.
The ministry's September 1, 2026, progress report listed 131,689 completed homes and reported that figure as 33.37% of the year's 400,000-home target. The public had proposed about 2.2 million homes for assistance, while 422,000 prospective beneficiaries had been verified.
Bedah Rumah falls under Indonesia's national "3 Million Houses" (3 Juta Rumah) program, which the ministry identifies as a priority of President Prabowo Subianto.
Assistance does not require recipients' own funding
Under Bedah Rumah Merah Putih, each beneficiary receives Rp20 million in assistance. Recipients are not required to contribute their own funds, a contribution known as swadaya.
The ministry also prohibits fees or levies of any kind under the program.
