New board and party-building targets

At the Hotel Santika ceremony, Bahlil installed Umar Lessy as chairman of Golkar's Maluku provincial board, known as the DPD, and Anos Yeremias as secretary. Beritasatu.com reported that the new leadership's term runs from 2026 to 2031 and that its goals include winning at least one seat representing Maluku in Indonesia's national House of Representatives (DPR RI).

Bahlil also outlined progress in organizing the party nationwide. According to Beritasatu.com, he said consolidation was complete in all 38 provinces and had reached about 90% of the country's 514 districts and cities, as well as roughly 60% of subdistricts. He set December 2026 as the deadline for completing the process down to the village level.

Coalition commitment and presidential greetings

Bahlil traced Golkar's backing for the administration to decisions made at its national congress (Munas) and national leadership meeting (Rapimnas), which placed the party in a permanent coalition supporting Prabowo, Beritasatu.com reported.

In remarks reported by VIVA.co.id, he urged Golkar to build the coalition without hesitation and said it should be permanent if necessary. He likened the arrangement to sharing a house while occupying different rooms.

Prabowo called Bahlil during the inauguration, prompting him to step out briefly to answer, according to VIVA.co.id. Bahlil later told attendees that the president had sent greetings to Maluku Governor Hendrik Lewerissa, a Gerindra party member, and everyone attending the ceremony.

Meals program and village electricity

Among the government initiatives Bahlil urged Golkar to help carry out was the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program. Metro TV News reported that he described it as a noble program.

Bahlil also said about 11,000 villages nationwide still lacked electricity, according to Metro TV News. For Maluku, he set a target of bringing electricity to every village by 2029-2030.
